838:59 - Annual charity concert

Location: Dominican Priory, St. Peter's Lane, CT1 2BP, Canterbury

This year's concert by members, friends and guests of Canterbury Musicians will feature a mix of classical and romantic songs, piano music, chamber music, and solos for French horn and violin. There will be music by Brahms, Schumann, Gounod, Vivaldi and many others. Proceeds will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in memory of Geoffrey Linnell.

838:05 - Musicians Get Together

Location: St. Gregory's Centre for Music, North Holmes Road, Canterbury

Social, performing and networking gathering, NOT open to the public.
We hope that this event will encourage adult participants to play in front of others, and that it may appeal especially to pianists, because they do not have the same broad range of opportunities (such as playing in orchestras and singing in choirs) that are available to other musicians for meeting socially and making music together. This event is being organised in partnership with the St. Gregory's Development Project, and in conjunction with the local representatives of the European Piano Teachers; Association UK and the Associated Board.
